Hi all,
I'm a new hermit crab owner! I have two crabs in a 15 gallon; their names are Mumbo and Jumbo. They're still pretty small, with Jumbo being the bigger of the two. They also share their home with some isopods.
I have some loose moss underneath a reptile hammock I setup for them... They seem to love hiding in it! Jumbo is becoming more adventurous and has started wandering the enclosure when I'm around. Mumbo still seems to be a bit hesitant to come out and say hi.
Hopefully they enjoy their new home!

Re: New Hermit Owner
Thank you all!
and yes, they're named after the Minecraft YouTuber MumboJumbo
Also I've seen both of my hermits eat from their food bowl, so I'm a lot less worried about them dying from PPS! I'm so glad that they feel comfortable enough to wander around their enclosure a bit when I'm around

Welcome to the board. I don't want to rain on your parade, but PPS can still occur even if they eat. While generally eating and being active (and all limbs when purchased) is a sign of a healthy crab, there could still be underlying issues that xrop up in the first moult. Its why the first moult is kinda the 'determiner', if they make it through the first moult, they are likely to make it through and be healthy for a long time!
