Finally some shell success!! Very lucky & happy

Post by rufeelinitnowmrkrabs » Thu Jan 27, 2022 6:20 pm

As a Canadian, I’ve been having problems finding medium/large shells, especially at an affordable price. This was the first thing I saw on USA Facebook marketplace a couple days ago. So excited to receive & clean them up for my tank.

Thought I’d share my success as a reminder to check marketplace! I think I’m set for life.. (or at least a very long time)

Shipping was only $13 US ($74 CA total), my boyfriend lives in the states, so I sent it to his place! Then off to MB it goes!

You did awesome!

I just got ripped from an outfit on the fleaBay. Was advertised and pictured as being 10 turbo shells with 1" opening and it wound up being an assortment bag with only 4 shells ~1"ish. The rest are tiny. The bag was $14 shipped all-in.
Two 29gals. 3 PPs in each.
~200gal of fish tanks. Mostly planted community tanks.
Multiple kiddos, doggies and kitties.

Thanks! Hopefully the stubborn guy will change after his molt, and that’s rough.

Similar thing almost happened to me on Amazon, the seller was advertising the shells as 1”, but didn’t specify if that was the opening size or not. Turns out it was not, luckily cancelled before they shipped and got a refund. Maybe you can try opening a dispute with PayPal/eBay?
