I recently purchased a coconut fiber liner for my current crabitat building project. It is advertised as being 100% all natural coconut fiber for reptiles. Upon opening I thought that it felt a little tacky and it didn’t smell as earthy as I thought. I boiled it and it still felt tacky. Here’s where I’m getting confused; as I was looking for a different brand of coco liner to buy, I saw a seller saying that their mats were 100% raw coco fiber too, but that they were pressed using “environmentally friendly latex pressing”. I’m not sure what that means! Is it safe for crabs? If not, does anyone have any recommendations for coco liners to buy instead?

That means that the mat is treated with rubber to hold it together. The crabs may pick at it but I doubt it’d be harmful.
