Pla or abs for shells?

Post by Silas0526_ » Thu Jul 21, 2022 8:39 am

I have no abs filament. I wanted to 3D print shells for my hermit crabs, and was wondering if pla would be an ideal substitute for abs. If anyone has successfully printed one, it would be good to know.

Crabs like to modify their shells. They break out pieces, in order to make them fit the way they want. They also eat pieces of their shells, as they are a source of calcium. For those reasons, I don't think that 3D printed shells are a good idea.
