Holding Hermit Crabs
In the past I've tried to hold my hermit crabs, and they sometimes come out and sometimes don't, does anyone know a way to teach the hermies to "get used" to me holding them? I don't hold them very often because most of the time they're digging under the sub or they're climbing a vine

Heya! So if they don't want to come out, you should not be trying to make them do so in any way Some people under certain conditions allow their hermits out for exercise, but generally, it's not awesome for them to be out of the temp+humidity-controlled tank. They're also undomesticated prey, so most direct interactions are either just tolerated or straight up scare the.
You can let them crawl onto you if you're lucky enough to have a friendly couple of crabs, but don't pick them up just to play with! )
