I have some new decor I’m not sure how to clean before I put them in my crabitat. Would greatly appreciate some guidance.
Wood pieces: too big to boil so I was advised to bake. What temperature and for how long?
Hanging coconut hide with rope ladder, sea grass hammock, and fake plants: ok to wash with soap and water then rinse thoroughly with distilled water?

Re: Cleaning new decor before putting in tank
For anything plastic, I usually just swish it around in a mix of vinegar and tap water (you don't need distilled/ dechlorinated for cleaning).
For anything wood or textile (like the rope ladder), I usually scrub with some salt water (sea salt or pure table salt are fine) and let it dry in the sun.
