Good groups?

Post by sunflower_crabitat » Thu Jul 20, 2023 10:36 am

Could someone give me a list of the food groups my crabs need?
For example:
Crabs need (just a guess) A protein, a Calcium, a fruit, and veggie.

That would be very helpful so I know I'm giving them what they need each day.

This link is something posted on here that has a lot of information on nutrition and a food triangle picture. Hope this helps! :)

I have seeds, worm castings, and calcium sources that stay in my tank 24/7, so a typical meal is a protein and a fruit/veggie/foraging item.
3 PPs: Maxwell (small), Mitchelle (medium/small), Kendall (medium/large)
also have 10gal freshwater fishtank w/ neon tetras, pygmy cories, and nerite snails

If you are also wanting to spoil them, getting hermit grub is a great way of doing that! ;) My hermit crabs love it. They make food mixes that you can buy online (I got $20 off from joining the rewards program, highly recommend and super easy!). An essential that basically ALL hermit crabs love is green sand and worm castings. You can buy that on hermit grub or other places it may be cheaper, but my crabs go crazy for it! First time I put it out I couldn't find a speck of green sand or worm castings left (A speck!).
