Hermit crabs out and potentially sluggish.

Post by 3littleherms » Mon Jul 31, 2023 11:01 pm

So I have three herms in a 20 gallon tank. They bury themselves for months at a time and I know it's normal and ok for them but resently they have been out constantly. It's two In particular that are out day and night. It's been almost two weeks now I think. I've noticed today and somewhat yesterday that they where a bit more sluggish. It's been warmer and more humid since they have come out, but I've only seen one of them bury themselves once for a few hours. Is this normal? The third one had been buried the entire time.

Oh yeah, being totally hidden or totally visible or anywhere in between are normal! So many people talk about their crabs never being out during the day, but mine have always been (unless they are underground of course).

Alright! I guess the high humidity is coaxing them out! Thank you!
