Is Tapioca Maltodextrin Safe?

Is Tapioca Maltodextrin Safe?

Hi guys…

I know Hermie’s require starches in their diet - But does anyone know if Tapioca Maltodextrin (from Tapioca Starch) is a safe product to use…!?

The reason I ask, is because I am thinking if it is safe I do a little chemical gastronomy crabby-style and turn fatty substances like Peanut Butter into a powder for them to consume instead of the extremely messy & sticky regular style peanut butter. I want to offer as much variety in their diet as possible but without making them and their tank super messy in the process… any help is appreciated! Thankyou.
