Background and heat mat

Post by Jenny55 » Wed Feb 14, 2024 9:56 pm

Hello... I'm setting up a new 40 gallon breeder and I have cork tile for the background. I was planning on getting a 6x35in bean farm heat mat but will it be a problem putting it on the back of the tank and getting proper heat distribution? I was also thinking I could get 2 - 6x17in and put them on the sides of the tank. Look forward to hearing experience and suggestions. Thanks much!

I have personally not done that, but from my understanding other people have with no problems - the heat gets thru the cork tile!
