I am going to crochet a climbing net, and maybe a hammock or two, for my hermit crab, Paganini. (I know I should have two but its friend died when Paganini uncovered him during molting, it died of stress I believe. I will be getting a new one in the future.)
I have some nice cotton yarn. Can I use that, even if it is dyed? If not, can I use an acrylic yarn instead?
Also, any patterns you could share would be quite helpful as well!

No, I wouldn't use yarn - crabs will just pick it apart and eat it.
I believe you can use cotton, not dyed.

Re: Suitable yarn for hermit crabs
I've used jute twine and hemp to crochet items for my crabbies.

No specific brands, just whatever says it's 100% or natural jute/hemp. I've found hemp is much easier to crochet with than jute.Pagoo wrote: Are there any specific brands that you use?
