Hermit crabs Turing there food into soup

I was cleaning out my hermit crab tank today and saw that he turned his cucumber into sort of Goo mix, It seems like he crushed up the cucumber with his claw to the point where the juices of the cucumber started to make a liquid. Is this for my hermit crabs not liking the food I gave them, or is it because another reason?

Foods like cucumber will break down pretty quickly in 80 degree heat and turn to goo all on their own - so it wouldn't take much handling by your crabs to make it like that.
