So my hermit crab has been buried for a few weeks and I was redoing this room and I pushed the tank stand with the tank on it a few feet across the room. It's kind of heavy being 40 gallons so there was some vibration when moving it.
Afterwards I checked where I think my hermit crab is buried. It used to be more of a loose mound with a hole and now it's just a crater.
I'm worried I messed up his setup. If he's molting (I think he is, he's not eating his food and I never see or hear him lately) I read it's deadly if the tunnel collapses.
What should I do in this situation?
I feel so bad. After I moved the tank I was thinking it was probably a bad idea.

Re: Worried about tunnel collapse after moving tank
Crabs often move location after they are underground, so there is a very good chance he's not in that spot anyways.
