Crab is trying to eat plastic plants. What do I do?

Post by sallyisacrab » Sun Jul 07, 2024 7:29 pm

I just recently got a hermit crab. He’s not eating any of the food I left for him but he is eating the plastic plants in his crabitat. Should I give him some real plants to eat? Do I need to take out the plastic plants? Any help would be appreciated.

He's probably just picking apart the plastic, but either way I would just remove them.

Keep feeding a balance diet with lots of variety, including animal protein and calcium daily, and they will take what they need.
