Tank upgrade!!

Post by I<3mycrabbies » Sun Jul 28, 2024 11:27 am

I have four smaller crabs in a 20 gallon currently and I just got a 40 gallon for them last week!!
But before I started setting it up I decided I wanted to make a 3d background! I got the idea from crab central station and I followed their tutorial they have on YouTube --> https://youtu.be/N02rqxb-0vc?si=knQxbaWBjjE3LEnt

(The first link is a picture of when I made the foam background and put in my wood pieces)

After it dried (which took about a day and a half) I took off all the shiny parts of the foam and I cut out a couple caves for them.
I forgot to take pictures of that part but then I used brown 100% silicone and covered the whole thing with it and I put eco earth on the silicone before it dried.
After it wasn't gooey anymore I went in and used clear silicone to attach artificial aquarium plants.

This is a picture of the background all done!!

I'm waiting ow for the tank to air out so it doesn't smell like the silicone anymore and then I have to run to store and get more sand for them and then I will start setting up the 40!!
=D
