New crab owner :D
Hello!! I have recently become a mother to 2 purple pinchers (peanut & plum) and have been reading on here a lot for help. Id also like to know what to feed them most, ive given fresh and dried fruit, dried shrimp, chicken, eggshells, seeds, oatmeal, and peanuts but they seem to only pick at the kale and honey i leave them :’)

Food is hard for hermit crabs because most commercial diets do not meet their needs. Making a mix of food is great. Make sure they have a source of calcium, protein, fruit/vegetable, and grain.
This is a great list of safe foods for crabs.

I used to make fresh food for my crabs but I switched to safe and healthy hermit crab food that I bought online. I use just2oldcrabs. Some people use hermit grub too! They are super safe and made really well and healthy. I personally like Just2oldcrabs because they include freebies and it is very cheap. One time, their freebies doubled the amount of my order!
Here are the links.

You can either continue making fresh food or either order some. Either are fine. I just don’t have much spare time LOL. I hope I am being helpful. Good luck with your crabs!
