Can hermit crabs hear my sound machine?

Can hermit crabs hear or perceive the sounds coming from my sound machine? I just got one and I use the ocean waves. Would it help them if I kept it on 24/7? Just wondering.

I would say they can. I have an Echo Dot in my pet room (2 crab tanks, 2 fish tanks, and my tortoise). During the day I tell Alexa to play "bird sounds", "babbling brook", or "rain sounds". At night I have the Echo play cricket or frog sounds. I figured why not try to bring a little nature to them lol.
