Hermit crab lethargic and not eating

So one of my bigger hermies just finished molting about a week ago (his first molt with me), and i noticed when he came up his exoskeleton looked really soft and pale so i covered the part of the tank where he usually hangs out in with a towel so it stays a little darker while his exoskeleton gets healthy again. He looks a little healthier now but i noticed he hasn’t come out of the coconut hide in days (i have a camera in there and it doesn’t look like he comes out at night either) and is constantly in his shell and not eating. is this normal? my other hermies recently molted as well but they became super active after and ate a lot. i’ve been giving him a separate food dish with foods rich in calcium and protein but it seems pretty untouched. i’m really worried about him is there anything i should do?

Could he have come up too soon for some reason - like was he accidentally dug up by another crab?
Can you post a photo of him?
Are you able to keep him isolated from your other crabs?

I don’t believe so, they are in a 30 gallon tank and i only have 2 other crabs with him and i never noticed the other two digging where his molting tunnel was. He’s been a little more active now and i’ve seen him out and eating so i think i will keep a closer eye on him but i definitely think your right i think he came up from a molt way too early. I will try to get a good pic of him tomorrow but his exoskeleton definitely is looking normal now!:)
