How large of a tank will I need?

I have 5 PP. They are very small right now, but I was wondering how large they get and how big of a cage I will need when they grow up?

i love questions so i do 1 crab=10 gallons. so since ive got 3 crabs, so i have 30 gallons you could also separate them into 3 and 2, unless they're close / atattched.

So I would need a 50 galloon tank... That's big!

HCA does not subscribe to the 10 gallons per crab - it depends on the size of the crabs.

Here is the HCA care sheet that outlines numbers of crabs and size of tanks. Keep in mind that crabs will grow, and most of us need to upgrade tanks as we go.

What if my crabs won't come out of their shell to measure their legspan?
Is there a sizing chart like this, but based on the size of the openings of their shell instead?

HCA does not subscribe to the 10 gallons per crab - it depends on the size of the crabs.

Yeah, measuring crabs can be a challenge. Medium crabs are about the size of a golf ball, if that helps
