I am a new crab owner and have a few questions.

I am thinking of getting crabs and will probably get them in a month or two and I am wondering a few things. First, I want to know if I can feed them honey without it clogging up its gills. Second, can you paint the outsides of the shells? I think tat it would be fun to have multicolor crabs, but if it will irritate them, I won't do it.

you can feed them honey, I have never had any problems with it. I just put a bit in a bottle cap and get it the next day. Unfortunately you cannot paint their shells as most paint is toxic and could stress/kill your crabs. Glad you are doing research before adopting, if you have any questions I would love to help :)

I agree with the answer given.
Also, have a look at our care sheets, so you have an idea of what they need ahead of getting them. Start with the 'basics' care sheet, then go from there.
