Squishy's the one who's little black eyes melt my heart.
Jumbo's can be pretty slow... and they're a lot easier to handle, more shell to hang on to... She's cute, she feelers at me

that would have been me that stated my crabs got mites from being next to the reptiles.... pet stores generally move the hermit about abit in order to maximize sales... I have seen them one week in the aquatics section.. the next in the reptile.. who knows..

I have been having a conversation with an entomoligist... he seems to think that certain mites that we get arent harmful.. that they are the type of mites that feed on decomosing organic matter... "the walking grains of sand".. but then again.. he had no idea that Eqthoxiun was class as a pesticide as well...

he said him and his collegues get rid of their mites off their cockroaches by shaking them in a bag of cornmeal... dont think that will work on hermit crabs tho.. he seemed abit.. well... nice but.. well.. im going to find another entomologist to talk to..

=)

Nah, not this store, this was a mom n pop store and I've been going there for over a year... like.. weekly XD The crabs never moved an inch.

It recently closed :/ The owner was nice.. we were kinda friends, he hugged me and said thanks for my help when the store was closing (me and Ray helped him clean out this huge aquarium and helped him and his kids to get stuff from the store to his truck) He gave us a corner tank, tons of hermie food, plastic huts and what not... he didn't want that stuff to end up in the foreclosure.

So yea, I knew these people pretty well
