Loney Hermie?

I am down to one hermie right now and was wondering what do you guys advise for me to do. I know they live in colonies so I wanted to know if it is better for me to get another one.

In addition, I think I need to go get more items that they need. When we went to get the hermies, I did some research but not enough. We asked the associates there but of course, they really didn't know what they are talking about. They basically just told us that we need food and water and sand/wood chips kind of stuff.

Well, we went and brought some treats, extra shells and clam shells for food and water. We already have another bowl for water with a sponge. We also got them some hut for them to hide in.

We thought about the salt, heat pad, and other stuff that we read about but they told us we didn't need any of those. Of course, now that I found this forum, I realized that I do need those stuff. So all in all, I think I am going to start from the beginning. Just glad that my big hermie is still alive. I hope I haven't done any damages already.

I'd recommend supplies first before more hermies. Hopefully it won't take too long?

Adding more hermie's to an under-supplied 'tat will only continue the problem.... I think...

Ya, I would get my 'tat all set up before I bring new hermies in. It can be very stressful for the new ones, so they should have the best environment possible.

And way to go to you for doing all the research and being a responsible pet owner.
