i just wondered if the coppers, etc is that much to affect them or if it's any relation to the products used as preservatives.

PS. Just out of ignorance, i've been giving mine distilled water longer than i even want to think about at this point and haven't "had a problem". That's kind of scary

oh i also wanted to know, for the humidifiers, does it matter what type of water?

I suppose as long as they also have salt water available, it can't be too bad. They can always drink that to "average it out."

I think distilled water would be great for a humidifier, since you won't get any mineral deposits when the water evaporats.

well apparently i was giving "drinking water" not distilled. I went back and checked the label. I had gotten some distilled for our mister (for humans). It says something about reverse osmosis I believe so I think its ok. I am going to start dechlorinating my own though now that I know it's just as safe as the bottled crap and a heck of alot cheaper!
Thanks for the brief biology lesson, I just so happen to be studying that and the effects of pollution right now lol. Talk about freaking me out.
