Ive been thinking of names for them. I had one for one of them when i baught him but i cant remember wich one had the black and orange shell . I was gonna name him Jack because i thought his shell looked like a jack o lantern. The other when i got (im gonna call it a her) had a light pink shell with a watermelon on the back. Im not sure what ill call her/it . It was sad because they didnt have very good shells to begin with. Theyre shells were small. Like extremly. They looked like they were ment for youngins and theyre almost as big as speedy if not as big. Im glad i got them a more spacious shell and a more spacious tat to live in. They didnt even have a spunge in the tank they were in so i wish i could have taken them all. I was glad to see that alot of the crabbies there had unpainted shells but it didnt negate the fact that theyre livings conditions sucked. I dont get payed till friday of next week but when i do, im going shopping .

Looks good! Looks like Speedy has gotten more active already. The fun part is when they switch shells. I just recently bought a lot of shells and waking up to see which one they are wearing today is fun. I have one who has been in 3 different shells already. One who is being more stubborn I bought him a bunch of shells because even when he is all the way in his legs stick out. I am starting to think he just likes it like that.

I didn't notice, but did you have two water dishes?
your crabs look awesome! and very pretty in their new shells! you might want to move the temp/humidity gauges down more, so that the get a reading of what the conditions really are where the crabs hang out. the temp should be between 75-80 degrees F, and humidity between 75-80%.
I also reccomend some fake plants (you might have some around the house, or you can find htem chepaly at wal-mart or a dollar store) as your crabs will enjoy hiding in them and climbing them.
good job!

Thankyou! No, I havnt gotten any money to go get the salt mix yet but when i do, thats the first thing. Its just hard to shove all this stuff into such a small place. Ive been trying to figure out what im gonna do. They really like that climbing arch. After i took them off of it this morning when it rolled they climbed right back to the top. Speedy has been hangin out in the Hermie Hut all day though. Might be a little shy to the new guys. But when i can go all out on theyre tat i will.

Yeah i kind of chuckled a little bit while rubbing the sleep from my eyes but than i quickly picked them up and rolled it back over. I just got home and checked on my little babies and the two new ones are eating and speedy is still in the hermie hut. I dont know whats going on. Every time i check on him that exactly where he is. I know hes alive though because i can see his little feeler things moving around. And i figured hes the happyest with me because he loves to be in my hand and always comes out of his shell when i come near him. The others are still to shy for me to handle much though. Theyll come around.

He could just be destressing too... I don't ever see my big guy out at night either... I hear sometimes late at night while I am sleeping. He comes out real late. The only time I have seen him out is on the rare occasion I am up to pee in the wee hours of the morning. Mine only come out when it is very quite and very dark...
