I don't think they'll care. I bet they'll eat em up either way. :)

My crabs like them eaither way, but I use so many dandylion greens for my liz I buy them from the store. Even though you don't use pesticides I would still througly wash them, just in case. They are really good for crabs, so go ahead and feed them alot.

PS

I would not dry while they are in season but right when they start seeding dry them in mass amounts and then you can have a supply.

I can vouch that dandelions are great in salad. Yes, human salad. :P

Dandelion tea is good too!

Do you just throw them in with the regular sald greens put some dressing on and eat them? Or do you need to do anything else to them? I might try some one day. :)

I treat dandelions just like lettuce or spinach. I usually don't add the flowers to salad, though. I dry them out and save them to make tea.

The most important thing is to make sure you get them from a safe food source like the market. If you just pick them from some random lawn, you could risk serious health problems. Plants and flowers from florist shops aren't safe to eat either. Only use dandelions that you know were grown without weed killers or other harsh chemical treatments you don't want in your body. :)

Some people find that dandelions taste too bitter. I think they're fine, but it might be an acquired taste.

I've seen them in my grocery before... I was thinking about getting some. If I don't like them I can give them to the hermits :D and wild bunnies in the yard.
