Today, the hermits are having some Grapes, Carrots, Tomato, Apple, that green stuff that I can't spell( ), and in the middle is a peice of jalapeno(sp?)... I've read on a thread on here that someone gave their hermits one, and they loved it, so I decited to try it out.

Protein Parade
Zoomed's Can O' Crickets (mini-size)
free-dried shrimp (soon will be fresh brine shrimp... waiting for them to hatch)
free-dried blood worms or frozen bloodworms (thawed of course)
silversides (fresh or freeze-dried)
and/or any other protein rich food....

so this recipe smells a whole bunch... but my crabby clan absolutely loves it.

Raspberry, my smallest straw) will cart of an entire cricket over to "her spot" and start munching...

No photo this time because it’s completely disgusting looking, but my crabs were all over this last night. It's super high in protien and other good stuff.
1 raw egg
2 tsp. spirulina powder
1 tsp. kale powder
1 tsp. amaranth
1/2 tbsp. bell peppers, finely chopped
1 tbsp. fresh coconut, finely chopped
1 about dice-sized chunk of frozen krill
2 about dice-sized chunks of frozen silversides

I threw all of this in the Magic Bullet and blended it into a frothy liquid. Then I scrambled it with some olive oil, threw in some crushed eggshell and served. The smell of freshly blended raw egg, seaweed and silversides is truly something you’ll have to experience for yourself, but the crabs will love it.

so we had whole roast chicken last night for dinner.

i boiled up the neck and the innards in distilled water, chopped it all up with a banana peel from lunch yesterday, mixed in some crushed nori and some leftover peas. mushed it all together, sprinkled some eggshell on top and by this morning it was GONE!

didn't get much sleep last night though -- wow! hermies can be LOUD!

1tsp of crushed ice
mash together and then serve! i like to mash in some spirlina and cuttlebone, yu can also ad *yuky* shrimp, krill, or bloodworms

my crabs LOVE this! they absolutely go crazy, and as soon as i set in it, crabs are already coming over!!

mix oats, coconut, spirlina, cuttlebone, shrimp, flax & sesame seeds, and then you can add in flowers or vegtables. (tonight i added in pulverized green bell peppers and roses)
