molting for 7 weeks

I have 2 pp's that started molting at the same time, its been 7 weeks and they still have not resurfaced. Is it normal to take this long?

4 days later, I had my husband hold up the tank and I could see both crabies near the bottom. I had a flashlight and shined it at them and they are definately alive!!! yeah!!! although now that I shined a light on them I hope I havent messed things up

What size are they? Are they new? It's on the long side but not excessive. Especially for med-large crabs.

My large guy was down for 8 weeks, and one of my smalls was down for 6 wks when she was brand new(so factor in some de-stressing time).

Large crabs can be down for as long as 3 months, so yes, this sounds normal for your crabs to be down for so long.

And as Monica mentioned, you have to factor in some destressing time for newbies.

Yeah... that is totally normal for crabs to stay down for a REALLY long time.

Even though it just kills us to be without them so long!!
