After Molt worries

Post by Guest » Mon Feb 25, 2008 9:48 am

Ok, so i need everyones help. My favorite hermie, Hermie, has been sighted. Ever since my crabitat make over, my 3 crabs went under to destress and molt but that was in NOV. I found Hermie for the 1st time today. I was filling empty tunnels in the tank when i ran my finger acrossed something hard on the surface. I knew right away the is was Hermies shell. I was so excited to see him that i grabbed him up. Well after looking him over, I can tell that he has molted but he seems VERY weak. He doesn't resist me pulling on his legs. Can i help him at all? He has been without food and water for almost 4 months. Could that be the problem. Oh my gosh.....He cant come this far and then die on me. He is my 1st crab ever. I was a horrible mommy at 1st and he HAS TO MAKE IT!!! HELP!!!!

Is he freshly molted, or is his exo hardened again? :?

I'd put him in an ISO ASAP. Give him some honey with cuttlebone, shrimp exo, or just shrimp, ORGANIC peanutbutter, and anything else that might help boost his energy. Make sure he has both fresh and salt water, along with proper temp and humidity.

I hope he pulls through for you. :)
