halfway surface molt

Post by Guest » Thu Apr 10, 2008 10:14 am

So i checked on blue today bc he hasnt moved in a couple days and hes not very buried and since i have lost a crab acting that way recently i wanted to make sure. i was very discouraged when i picked up his shell and crab parts fell out, then much to my surprise i saw a little movement in the shell, so i quickly placed blue back down. his shed exo seemed mooshy to me and i thought that it would have been hard, anyone know why it was like that.

Sorry to say, sounds like the crab is having a hard time molting. :(

Keep us posted on the progress and keep the crab isolated.

well ive released blue back to the tank and found he made his way to the food dish, he is really scared still retracts way back into his shell at any sign of movement. On another good note scratchy my tiny has come up from his molt with a brand new BP YAY
