OK, tonight's menu:
cabbage, cherry tomato, green beans, peach, and one granola bit from an organic crab-safe granola. It's called crannaple crunch.

My grandma went to a really good farmers market and bought a whole bunch of really good, fresh food back, so of course my crabbies get samples :D.

chunks of zucchini and squash and in a seperate dish some applesauce mixed with honey - they've never had zuch or squash so we'll see how they like it. probably better than the boring sunflower seeds.

oh, how i've spoiled them.

they really liked the zuchinni and the squash. Tonight I gave them dried banana chips (1 for each, I've got 7 in there now) and all of it is gone. Now whether it's been hidden or eaten I'm not completely sure but from laying on my bed I watched Kermit stand over the food dish for a good solid hour.

It's always hit or miss with that though.

A big wedge of squash along with a dish of papaya, freeze-dried sardines, pecans & hibiscus blossoms.
I'm also testing something new... Ube (purple yam) paste. They seem totally into it so far.

Post by Guest » Sun Oct 12, 2008 8:00 pm

To day we celebrated Thanksgiving since my father will be away for the actual Thanksgiving. So the Crabs also got to have an early feast. Tonight my Hermit Crabs are getting Crabotanicls "Perky Turkey", a slice of turkey, and a slice of the turkeys heart! mmmmmmmmmmmm

Last night: chopped carrots mixed with ground flaxseed, oats, and a little bit of water to give it consistency. They really liked it!
