Today we are having popcorn drizzled with EVOO and dusted with powdered alfalfa hay. With a side of oats and honey.

I should name this...

Diced pear
Thawed blood worms
Scrambled eggs (scrambled in coconut oil with egg shell in)
Sprinkled with crushed cuttle bone and organic spirunela tablets.
Drizzled with a bit of honey

I named this covered salt-worms!

Its cooked egg noodles cooked in salt water. Then covered in cuttlebone and little pieces of egg to finish it off.

Hibiscus blossom:

I found one that's just fallen from the plant. Blanched it for about a minute in hot water. Rinsed the insides for aphids and other mini bugs. Then split it and separated it for easy pickings for the crabs.

Right now one C. brevimanus is gorging on a couple of petals. 8)

Coconut, fresh apple, fresh carrots, raisins drizzled with honey, and some baked chicken. Plus the standard chunk of cuttlebone that they have been working on for awhile.

They really like the chicken and the apple!

Seaweed soaked in saltwater (they won't touch it dry)
Shredded lettuce and collards
Strawberry, melon, and pineapple
Chopped broccoli, carrots, and red cabbage
Also freeze dried crickets and baby shrimp

I've been making a salad for my sister's iguana for the past week and it's gotten really over the top with what I offer my crabs too as it's not much extra work to throw in a little bit of extra food while I chop and shred fruit and vegetables for the iguana.

Here's a hit in my tanks - frozen crab.

I'm using small (1-2 inch/ about 2.5-5 cm) frozen edible freshwater crabs (Varuna sp. I believe, from an Asian seafood store) and while frozen, quartered them with a knife and then slightly microwaved until just lukewarm. I serve one quarter per crab for the night, shell and all. 8)

Yes, spirulina is a very healthy seaweed with a lot of protein and other vital nutrients. :) It's a great all-around food for land hermit crabs.
