Dragonfly Exoskeletons?

Post by Julia Coenobita » Sat Jun 27, 2009 7:56 pm

I find a LOT of molted exoskeletons from dragonfly nymphs here. I am wondering if they are edible to hermit crabs? Thanks! [smilie=smile.gif]

I can't see a reason why not. They would make a good source of chitin and are not different from cricket or locust exos, I've fed those.
I'd love to find a dragonfly exo, I haven't seen one for ages. Dragonflies yes, even rare ones, but no exo. I love them, you can see every detail.

I don't think so.
I always wonder how they can get out through that small hole, legs and feelers and all :)
