Yeah, looks about the same to me..... Albeit not quite as bad. I haven't done the medicinal baths yet. So far its just been soaks in double strength Instant Ocean water and then covering it with honey (which he tends to eat off faster than I can slather it on! haha)
But I think it's already looking a little improved. I'll get pics today before his soak and compare!

Besides treating the infected crab, PLEASE be checking other crabs for signs of infection. Bacterial infections can be contagious. I don't mean to be a scare monger, but speaking from a personal experience in which I lost almost an entire tank full of crabs it can spread. I wouldn't wish that experience on anyone!

To me, it kind of seems like a bruise. Maybe something happened to the pincher when the crab was still soft?

Re:
Crabber, I'm out of date with my crabbing, but I haven't had any get a bacterial infection. If, lets say, Faenauliel hadn't been treating his crab, the crab wouldn't die, would it?crabber wrote:Besides treating the infected crab, PLEASE be checking other crabs for signs of infection. Hopefully, it won't spread.
