suebee wrote:Coconut Couscous! sounds yummy, you have to tell us how to make that one. My crabs are still very much loving the sea lettuce. They cant seem to get enough of it right now. They also had anchovy, blueberries, broiled blue fish, cantaloupe and coco nut. Of course the mineral supplement is always in the tank with the crushed oyster shell and worm castings..
I posted how a few posts ago.

How is the mineral supplement? I was going to buy it, but then I had already spent enough after ELHC, PetDiscounters, Naple's Seashell Company, and Mountain Rose Herbs.

The crabs love it. When ever i get a new crab that hasnt been around it they spend alot of time in that dish. They even end up with white poo due to eating so much of it. When you order it from the HCP here http://www.hermitcrabpatch.com/Natural- ... /su100.htm you get a nice amount that last a good time. Its also not expensive. Bob uses it for his crabs too. I think its something that the crabs really need.
I also make up a blend i could send you out a sample of if you would like to give it a try. Just email me a address and ill put some in the mail to you.
I buy from ELHC or HCP, I CANNOT RECEIVE PM MESSAGES SO EMAIL ME,anytime! suebeebuzz@me.com visit my Hermit Crab Dollar Store. Crabbing from aprox 1974- I own 12 Species,On Face Book-Susan Staff's Coenobita Research of New Jersey

Today made some food and froze it is single serving packaging so if i am ever lazy i can just pull out this pop in the micro for a few secs them bam! crabby dinner for 17!

3 eggs ( shell intact )

chunks of red bell pepper

celery leaf

carrot slices

organic baby food ( i used garden vegetable )

Crush eggs and shells in bowl. add chunks of red bell pepper and celery leaves and the carrot slices. Mix well making sure all pieces are covered in egg. Add a full jar of Organic Baby food. Mix well. Fry in a pan until both sides are golden brown. Cut into single serving chunks. Wrap in plastic wrap and put in a freezer bag ( i used ziplock ) So now i have about 25 single serving veggie omelets!

A hermit crab favourite!
Image
What's in it?
Coconut - Today I decided to buy a coconut for the crabs cause they adore fresh coconut! They are hard to crack open though :?
Cuttle bone - I lightly dusted the food with cuttle bone to add calcium :)
Krill - My hermit crabs don't eat much of the krill I feed them but they do eat parts such as the eyes :)
Mouse - Baby mice are most definitely my hermit crabs favourite food! Whenever I give them one every piece of it is gone by morning :D
Raspberry - The hermit crabs like fresh raspberry and helps maintain the strawberries red colour :)
Strawberry - Strawberry isn't really a hermit crab favourite in my tank but it helps maintain the strawberry hermit crabs colour :)
