So far, we have these new listings (compiled with the old ones):

Almond
Anchovy
Bee pollen
Bloodworms (freeze-dried)
Blueberries
Catfish
Cheerios (best when an organic brand is bought)
Chicken (raw or cooked)
Chicken bone marrow
Coconut
Corn (on the cob or pieces)
Cuttlebone
Dandelion (leaves and flowers)
Earthworm castings
Egg
Golden raisins
Ground pork
Hibiscus
Honey (raw, organic is best)
Kale
Krill (frozen & thawed or freeze-dried)
Langostino
Lobster (meat and exoskeleton)
Mango
Millet
Oak leaves
Papaya
Peanut butter (organic)
Persimmon
Pineapple
Pinkie mouse
Popcorn (no butter or salt)
Puffed rice, millet, and oat
Rolled oats
Rose petals (dried or fresh)
Shrimp (mysis or baby gammarus [dried varieties] are also liked)
Sirloin steak
Tomato
Walnut
Watercress
Wheat germ

This is a great list! :) Even if the foods aren't liked across the board with every crabber and their crabs, it gives newbies and old-bies (:hlol:) a great way to try new foods that their crabs will gorge themselves over!  :glasses2:

Thanks! :)

I'm going to keep this thread opened for a while so we can get a bunch of favorite foods compiled together.

I put a little piece of honeycomb in last night, and they ate wax and all.

Strangely, Mo doesn't like peanut butter. He won't touch it. Actually, I've yet to find a food he likes enough to eat it when I see him.

Teddy likes his bloodworms though :)

Other than the supplemental castings, the only thing I've seen them go crazy for is Minced clams and Ritz crackers.

This may be a dumb question (I think the answer is no since hermit crabs are afraid of everything) but can you feed them a live pinky mouse?

Crabs aren't very good hunters, so it's best to serve it dead.

And I found out recently my crabs love honeycomb, too! :)

Though they may like it and it wont hurt them I would like to make a point on raw meats.. Mostly chicken or any poultry. Feeding them raw might not hurt the crabs but its so bad for us humans to handle the raw meats, mostly after they have set out in the warm tank where bacteria multiplies so fast. Its hard not to make sure you get out all the bacteria when you take it out of the tank. Even if the crabs eat all the meat behind where it sat there will be bacteria to multiply. This isnt good for us that handle the crabs or the items in the tank. Just a note on safety.
My crabs love any kind of sea weed and sea lettuce. they also love Cyclop eeze, that is zooplankton and its full of Astaxanthene. My crabs love anything freeze dried due to the texture. They love the freeze dried veggies and fruits but mostly the meats. Corn on the cob is a biggie in my tank too. Ive found that okra is a big hit freeze dried! Favorites seem to be the mineral supplements, worm castings, and crushed oyster shell too.

Suebee, which brand of Cyclo peeze do you use? I found one online, however it has ethoxyquin as a stabilizer in it. There is one more, but it does not give the ingredients, unless it is completely pure...

The freeze dried does not have ethoxyquin and they have not used it in it for over 5 years. You can contact the company. I also offer it in my etsy shop in small amounts as one of the 1.00 food items if you just want to give it a try. You can email me for the link
