I've moved everyone from my 10 gallon and 30 gallon tanks to my 90, except for 1 crab from each of the smaller tank that was down molting. I'd really like to get the other tanks shut down to cut back on my maintenance time and I'm starting to wonder if the ones that remain are actually alive. I'm trying to figure out how long to wait before I start digging.
Here's what I know:
30 gallon - medium crab, dug down in mid-December, heard crabby digging noises on 1/30, then dirt in the water dish the next day, but no signs of anything since - no dirt in the water dish, food touched, etc., another crab that had been molting in that tank came up from a successfully molt on 1/19
10 gallon - teeny to small crab, dug down 12/23, 2 other crabs successfully molted in that tank around the same time and that last one came up 1/24
Suggestions?

Give the medium a while longer definitely. As for the teeny its all up to you, I have a teeny that comes up for a while then I won't see her again for 2 months and I doubt she's molting for that long. It could just be enjoying a nice time underground after molting, assuming the teeny molted for you

Flash is back! Flash is my teeny/small that is in the 10 gallon, the only one left in there after everyone else was moved to the 90. As I was cleaning tonight I pretty much decided that after 2 months Flash was gone so I was actually starting to dig around a little in the back corner when I notice a small hole behind the water dish...that had not been there before. I checked in there with a flashlight and lo and behold...a little crabby wiggling it's feelers! I'm anxious to see how Flash looks once he decides to come out of the hole.
So, I guess that was a lesson for me. Flash went down as a teeny and was down 59 days.
