well i'm glad she's down and molting. I'm glad this story had a happy ending.

I wonder if our crabs can feel or sense our feelings. It would be nice if they could feel the struggles we go through for them, then they would know how much we care.

I'm a few days late, but here she is when she came up.

Absolutely amazing, isn't!

She didn't heal up her little claw perfectly, but it's looking better and she can move it a bit more now.

She did dig back under the day after I took the photos. I have no idea what she's doing, but I can hear her scraping around in there.

I am really nervous right now, though. She has been buried under for nearly a week now.... Could she really be trying to molt again? She wasn't up top even three days and she barely ate anything!!

Seems like several of my post moulters have dug back down to recharge and recover after their initial surface appearance.

However, your instincts are good, so if your gut tells you to check on her, then do it. You might make her grumpy, but it wouldn't hurt her at this point. Maybe you could place a piece of cuttlebone next to her before you cover her back up.
