Video will be hard until there are more of them. My video camera can't pick out individuals because they are so small. But I will try after the water change tonight.

They look like crayfish to me.
I managed to get some video. It's rendering to my computer and probably should be on youtube within an hour or so.
Also, I put my smallest shells in and the smallest of my small shells should be just small enough. The glass really does make things look bigger than they really are. These guys are going to need seriously tiny shells. Like 1-2mm opening, not 2-3mm like I originally thought. Teeny tiny.

Think these would work then? These are the smallest of everything I can find:

I think you might need to go smaller.
I got a mix very similar to that (same species of shells), and most are too big.

I think I've seen even smaller at Micheals but it's really hard to tell from a photograph. They were almost all round or long shells, different then the kind in that picture and probably 2 mm in size total, not the opening.

OMG such a sweet video, it just get's better and better. It's a lot of work though!!! I'm not sure I'd be up for it myself. I say that now but let's see what I do if I ever have eggs...

I'm mesmerized by them! I was so surprised how they move around. I guess I didn't expect them to swim around so stiffly. It makes sense though. It's not like they have flippers. Incredible! Thanks for sharing!!!

Thanks.
It's easy to lose motivation for sure. Lots of work. But they're just so cute!!!
Wode, I measured the biggest small shell that I think they could fit in, and the opening was 2mm exactly. So try to get 2mm and under opening sizes if you can. Hope that helps!
