So I have just finished reading through this entire thread, and I am sorry you guys are all going through this.

Thank you though for being here and bringing it up!!!! It will definitely keep me from ordering from there!. When she specifically tells someone "please post this at HCA" and then gets angry when it is, not responding to people, specifically says she is offering a free crab and 50% off for the inconvenience but then comes back and refuses to do that, charging your cards before items are shipped...OY OY OY.... it's just not good. Nothing about that is good. I didn't plan on ordering from her anytime soon as I am still new to crabbing and need to keep the ones I have alive first, but this thread definitely makes me not want to use her when I AM ready for new crabs.

She knows how badly everyone want's those blueberries that's why she is refusing the 50%, she is out of her mind!!! I am so glad I hadn't ordered from her yet, now I really think I wont!!!

There has to be some way for us to get our exotics without using her. Surely we can find a way somehow.

...the worst part about it is that I was apologizing for her and posting to this thread as per her request. I paid $159 on July 10th and have been MORE than patient with her antics, and this is how I am rewarded for it? If she is so willing to throw away MY business then I can only assume that she will treat all HCA members with the same indifference.

Parrothead, I have a question. I ask you because it seems you've had the most contact with her. Are the orders that contained Blueberries, in the original order, the only ones who are having so much trouble, outside of the usual craziness that comes with placing orders from her? It sounds like all the folks who ordered simply anything non-blueberry already have their crabs......
I could be very mistaken, it's a rather long thread.

I'm not Parrothead, but I also ordered, E's, Straws and Indo's aside from blueberries and have yet to receive my order :(

The only person who received crabs from her so far had only Es in their order. They would have come from a different supplier than the species that are coming from Oceania.

She actually said she's getting in Aussies?? Wow. That is.... going to be hard for everyone to resist. She certainly knows how to get business.... :(

Where the heck does her supplier work? Aussies, really??? Wonder IF they will ever come in..... :worry:: I feel so bad for all of you guys who have ordered and were made to go through this. I also feel bad for people who order from her in the future.

It's weird to see how bad she has gotten. Wish this was like the "old" days! She used to be great. Crazy she's getting aussies!

If anybody down south wants to order a few extra indos from her with your order, I'll buy them off of you next summer (when it's warm enough) for more than you paid and/or trade you a heap of harvestables for them. I just don't feel safe dealing with her at all.

She would have to have at least three - the one we know about for the Indonesian species (Indoes, Straws, Ruggies, Violas, and Blues), one for the "common" species that are closer to home (PPs and Es - possibly from two different suppliers), and then a third for the Aussies. I'm sure Merv Cooper has been chomping at the bit to find a new US distributor since ELHC closed as that is a lot of lost revenue for him.

Here we go, the most recent proposal from Merv, which should be for LHC: http://www.environment.gov.au/biodivers ... -crabs.pdf
Collection didn't start until this month, which is she would be getting them in over the winter. (In Australia it's summer, don't forget!)

I feel the same way. After taking a break from having hermit crabs, one of the things I was really looking forward to after coming back was getting blueberries again and at least a couple of the other species I'd always wanted so much and assumed there wouldn't be any problem getting them from her. I placed an order with her when it was still the "old" days for 3 blueberries and had absolutely no issues, there were no delays and they arrived exactly when expected. There was even an extra blueberry included just because, not to "make up" for poor service or a mistake on her part. As badly as I'd love to have some blueberries, straws, and pink indos, I'm pretty scared to place an order now obviously.
How's this for muchness?
