That stinks.Nate the great wrote: I could do it. I have the space, time (I work from home) and funds (single guy). But when animals die due to my miscare I find it terribly upsetting. And I am not having a lot of luck with my E's.
It would cost under $100 to get 50 PP, and about $400 to import 100 Aussies. A custom crabitat to keep them in would cost me about $200 in materiels (a carpenter owns me favors).
But with my bad luck with E's I don't want to risk it.

I am a proud owner of five hermies named Leopard (PP), Ribbon (PP), Kremer (PP), Queenie (PP), and Sunny (E). I have been crabbing since 6/16/11, and have been loving and learning so much about them ever since! My family and I also own a husky, a cat, and a bunch of freshwater fish.

That's so nice to hear about the Indos. I ordered them since they also come from Africa where I once lived and since I have no access to Scaveola crabs that are my love

The chances are probably like 0.00000000000000001% since they looks a bit different. But thanks.
You lived in AFRICA?! Awesome!! I'm always watching documentaries on the animals there on youtube. What part of Africa?
Hope you enjoy the indos when you get them. I expect a ton of pics!

Think outside the box. People can get together to do a wholesale order, or there may be ways to navigate how to import.wolfnipplechips wrote:No other source for indos, either. *cries* Only other source for some species is from overseas, and they only do wholesale.
Never throw up your hands and say it can't be done. If someone else is doing it, it can be done.

Where are you getting the Aussie quote from? They've only exported the species three times so far, and the new permits aren't even in place to be able to mail any of them outside of the country. I imagine that the fees would be much higher than that once they get everything in place!Nate the great wrote: It would cost under $100 to get 50 PP, and about $400 to import 100 Aussies. *sigh* I would love to take care of "Aussies".
But I think there is no chance to transport them to Germay.

Boo, LHC doesn't ship to Canada of course It'll be really interesting to see if there's an increase in aussie owners soon though! I wonder if we'll learn more about them.
We're not asked to do great things, we're asked to do all things with great care.

I checked with Crazy Crab a couple weeks ago. I know they're not available yet, but he implied that they would be ready to ship soon.wodesorel wrote: Where are you getting the Aussie quote from? I was told the AUS export fee would be $100, and since I don't have the shipping charge my estimate is very rough.
