dumbest things people have said about your crabs/other pets?

I was telling my friend about my crab not acting well she replies "I'm not coming to your crab's funeral" I asked her why not she said " it a crustacean!"

Earlier I brought up that I had so many pet store cards. A girl who doesn't know I have crabs gets us into this conversation....
Her: What do you do with the cards?
Me: Hermit crab stuff.
Her: What do you do with the crabs?
Me: Watch them...

Her: Have you ever dressed them up?

What on earth!?!?! Dress them up, what does she think they are? Dogs?

Our Walmart finally got some more lady fiddlers in, so I put them in our cart and this lady walks past and goes "Getting crabs for Christmas?" and busts out laughing. (I don't think it was malicious. Hoping not, anyway. )

One girl asked me why I own a snake. She seemed shocked that it was a pet. I mean I knew people owned snakes but she did not seem to know this. Also I have learned to add that my snake lives in an enclosure and 9/10 times people suddenly calm down. Apparently they think before that that my snake just wanders around the house lolz.

I have also been asked if my ball python is venomous. I don't expect everyone to know she is a ball Python but I love how many people assume that out of all the snakes available to purchase snake owners obviously chose venomous ones. Then add that to the same people thinking that these snake(s) wander freely around mg home and it is no wonder they think I am crazy

My friend told me today that I should hook up a bunch of hermit crabs to a slay and get dragged around by them. He must think they are massive.

Well this is about my other pet, my dog. He is a small mutt with crazy curly hair. He is not the most traditionally attractive dog, but I love him. I have a picture of him on my desk and a person looked at it and asked if he was my pet sheep. I informed her it was my DOG. She did not believe me. Sadly, this happed another time a few weeks ago with someone else.

My crabs live in my office. I get asked quite a bit if I ever plan on eating them... I have not figured out a good response to that.

I would so tell people they were baby lobsters and that they can only be eaten once they're ripe. I wonder how many would believe it!
