90 Gallon Finished (not really)
90 Gallon Finished (not really)
So I finished with the 90 gallon . . .well, I still plan on updating pools, adding cholla wood, and maybe a couple other things, but it's still really nice. It has a split bottom, with 10" of sub. There's a 1:5 mixture of eco earth on one side and a mix of play and all purpose sand on the other.
I hope you enjoy, and suggestions are always welcome

After:
Today's menu: Kale, yellow and red bell pepper, zucchini squash, and strawberry
Staple food of cuttlebone and dried mealworms
Leaf pit
Medium shell shop
Large shell shop
Small moss pit, soon to be upgraded to size of leaf pit
Saltwater pool
Freshwater pool
My favorite thing in the tank
Suction cups are a thing of the past
5 minutes after misting, they were ALL over the place
6 crabs climbing
Here's them before me rearranging
Thanks in advance for all comments, critiques, and suggestions

When you've been crabbing for so long, you don't even know how many crabs you have now...
Re: 90 Gallon Finished (not really)
Looks great!
Re: 90 Gallon Finished (not really)
Thanks, I'm finally happy to have what I believe is a "permanent" crabitat. I no longer have to worry about upgrading

WOW! I REALLY like it!
Re: 90 Gallon Finished (not really)
Thanks guys Unfortunately, as I had feared, 2 of the command hooks have already fallen. Does anybody know of some good, lasting, suction cups that I could order from, perhaps, amazon?

Re: 90 Gallon Finished (not really)
So I don't have any experience with suction cups and unfortunately have no advice there. And I know its probably too late, but if you do decide to remodel, upgrade, ect., I used these when setting up my tank: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnVrdfk ... AAAAAAASAA I ziptie everything to them and have never had anything fall. I love them!

Ok so that didn't work... if you search (on this site) second level ideas there is a thread with the title Second level ideas (I believe, written by hambone?) It has the video on it and its awesome. Sorry my tech skills aren't so great.

Re: 90 Gallon Finished (not really)
Thanks, moon. The only thing I really need to put up is the fake plants around the rim, so the corner guard seems like a good idea. I think, though, that I've seen people just drill directly into the rim on the tank. It might have been Kuza. I do use a lot of zipties as well. I think that suction cups would just be easier, though, because I may want to eventually move things around (I know I will), and having something reusable seems nice. Thanks, though. I'll think about this idea

If you're open to drilling the inner rim, you might try drilling in many places so you can move stuff later on.
Love your nets! Great tat!

Incredible tat! Where did you get your plants? I tried those hooks also and they fell off. I am going to do an add on upper level with the corner guards. Gonna steal some of your ideas!

A tip about locking hooks: wash them first in warm water and make sure they are clean, dry with a paper towel, at the suction site wipe clean with a paper towel and some FW then swab with a tiny bit o alcohol and let it dry completely before suctioning, press the hook firm but gentle while locking to get a tighter seal.
When i do all that it never falls, until i move it and dont do all that
