Last night they were tearing up the tank! The two new guys were so super energetic. The small new guy is probably my smallest crab now, and the big guy is about the same size as my biggest (still a medium status lol). So far the only scary action has been the two big ones trying to look bigger than the other lol. The little one has changed his shell at least 3 times lol. Hoping to get new shells soon! Thanks for asking!

Ever since I introduced crabbie to the new heater, he's been energetic again :D

(crabbie is the one on top of the tree)
Before I got the heater they hadn't even moved for 3 days! D:
it scared me to death, but ever since earlier today when I moved them near the heater they have been active again! yay :D

Well yay for heat! I bet they're much happier! I can't believe he was able to crawl up that tree. I had two that came with my "complete hermit habitat" that I got from the pet store but once I figured out how pointless the setup was I threw it all out. Didn't keep any of it. Wish I'd kept those silly trees.

He actually climbs those trees all the time, about twice a week :D

So ignore the horrible sealing job (we used way too much) but my crabs have been making great use of my corner guards. It thought I'd be the only one using them. Silly me

I'm sure most of you can relate. Last night I kept waking up because of a weird noise. After investigating for a while I finally figured out it was Mrs Penstemmon climbing around upside down on the lid.

Definitely turning my fan back on low tonight no matter how chilly I am. It's way too quiet if I'm being woken up by a crab in a completely different room.

I wouldn't think they could climb to the top of those! I have 4 in ok shape that came with an adoption. My guys are too large to perch on them though. I'm not sure why I hung on to them.

Wow! I can't believe you could hear them in a different room! I kinda miss listening to the crabs at night. They used to be in our room but we moved them out to the living room. I don't miss them scaring the whits out of me when I'm home alone though! That clanking took some getting used to lol.

They usually don't bother me but sometimes when my husband works at night their little bumps in the night creep me out. Then again my over active imagination might have something to do with that...

It was more of a "What are the cats into now!" kind of thought that turned out to be a crab. It was a crinkling sort of noise from the foil on the lid as she moved around underneath on the screen.
