Hey guys so I posted a few days ago that lil mama finally came back up! And this morning when I went to check on the tank the sight warmed my heart ️ lil mama found Bob is his trench and is now sleeping on top of him I'm so glad they found each other! They've been together since day one and Bob has not been the same without her, I think he really missed her.

It's not a very good one as Bob is in a trench but here's a pic of the sweet peas! Image you can just barely see Bob's banded tapestry under her Apple murex :)

ImageThis is Squishy. He(who we just found out is actually a "she") is our most active and friendly crab. He has quite the addiction to organic peanut butter  My boyfriend and I will give it to him as a treat sometimes and the second we put it in the tank, he comes out of his little hiding spot and dives right in  Image And here are Oswald and Trixie. We got them recently and they both are molting for the first time with us! Oswald looks like he's doing pushups

I don't remember the particular thread but I'd posted recently that only Harry likes to change shells: Felix has only changed shells once in 6+ years (maybe that's why he doesn't really get bigger when he molts -- he wants to keep his favorite shell  ) and Big Enzo only the day he came home from PetSmart about 6 months ago. Well, the big guy made a liar out of me! When I stopped at the tank this morning to see if anyone was out and about, there was Big Enzo in a new shell, a beautiful Tapestry turbo. So far, he's been wearing it at least 9 hours so maybe he'll keep it.
PPs are Big Enzo, Charles Paris and Mr Pinch

My crabs are boring..they're too busy tunneling. I just glanced in the tank and saw 1 crab, and that's only because he's underground and made a window. LOL. I'm sure I'll see a few later after I feed them, but for now they're all hiding.

Story of my crab life! Everytime i see my crabs its either:
1. They're frozen in fear because they see me watching them
2. They're disappearing into some moss/substrate
3. They're running the heck away and disappearing into a hole

I have now seen 4 crabs this evening. Progress!

I admit I like scaring mine sometimes...the way they freeze, then sloooowly back up, and then run for their lives. Or when I pick one up and he pops out and goes "Hi!" and then "AHHH!" and sucks back in, and then comes back out and goes "Hi!" and then "AHHHHH!"

I can be in the worst mood ever and all I need to do is watch them at nighttime for a while and that cheers me right up. My husband gets annoyed if we're watching a movie and I hear a 'clank' against the glass and have to get up and investigate, and then get sidetracked and stare into the tank for like...10 minutes.

When I was pregnant I was getting up to tinkle in the middle of the night, then go downstairs to crab watch for 20 minutes or so. Saw the most action those days.. But my husband thought I was sneaking downstairs to eat! Every time I complained about my weight he was so tight lipped, and eventually figured out he was under the wrong assumption! Haha

I'm pretty sure all mine are due for the next molt within a few weeks. Chloe's been down since October, and Tags went down the other night, making a giant sand dune smack in the center of the tank. Plus it's been below freezing here, so the two still up they just sit in the same spot all day. Sounds like most of our crabs are acting like this. :(
Crabbing since July 2013!
