Hello! I am new to the forum registering a few months ago, but haven't yet shared my crabs and tank. Here they are!
The small one I have had successfully for 6 months! Her name is Marceline.
My large hermit crab Fifi which I got 3 months ago. Changed shells 5 times the first night!
Small hermit crab girl who I haven't named yet. Any ideas?
Salt water dish. Hopefully upgrading.
29 gallon tank with wood, coconut fiber wall, hut, rocks, shells and 6 happy PP hermits.
Small hermit crab I got 3 months ago, molted successfully.
My tank seems kind of bare. Plan to add a locker shelf with moss and fake plants and all sorts of fun colorful things for them. Any ideas on a moss pit? I will also be adding more cholla wood and a shell shop. Any ideas on things to add? Hope you like all my crabs and my crabitat!

Re: My little buddies
Love your crabbies' names and the story about Fifi going on a shell-changing binge her first night! That was the the first thing my Big Enzo did, within an hour of coming home, but his selection was somewhat limited as my other guys are considerably smaller. He still tries to get his bulky self into any size shell that takes his fancy, though .
Your set-up looks good, lots of little hiding places. My 3 PPs are still in a 10g but will be upgrading to a 29g or 30L shortly. In the 10g, I've set up both a shell shop and a moss pit as second levels. The shell shop is a clear plastic soap dish with large suction cups at the back (Walmart $3) and the hanging moss pit I made from the bottom of a plastic berry container. As the container had holes around the bottom, I threaded twist ties through a few holes on adjacent sides and suspended it from one corner of the screen lid. Between the shell shop and the moss pit, I propped one of those "fake" cholla climbing sticks (made of plastic, choice of colors) so the guys can easily reach them. Lots of activity!
Another idea is getting plastic leafy vines to create more climbing opportunities. The 10g has vines along the top of the back wall and a short vine leading from the moss pit along the front wall -- one of the crabs is always climbing along or hanging from one of the vines.
An item I already have but need the taller tank for is actually a bird toy. It's a hollowed coconut with a 6 rung wood and hemp ladder and is meant to be suspended in a bird's cage. My mice have one in their tank and absolutely love it. Amazon had reviews from at least one crabber stating how much their hermies loved climbing on it and hiding in it. If you're interested, I'll try to find the link for you.

Thank you so much! I am always open to suggestions. I definitely want to make my tank more leafy and green, so I appreciate your help. If you can find the link, that would be great and again, I really appreciate your help!
