Shell Horizons, Inc

Post by singlemomwithcrab » Thu Nov 20, 2014 6:36 am

So I didn't end up ordering from Shells of Aquarius, but during my search, I found this site....

http://www.shellhorizons.com/

You really have to look through the menus, but I think I may have found a deal or two. Example, a GAL (gallon) of banded tapestry turbos for $15.00 US. Polished silver turbos $18.00 per HUN (hundred). Small Light green Turbos $10 per HUN (hundred). Medium Silver banded Turbos $9.60 per Doz (dozen). Medium Babalonian $9.00 gal (gallon). Fish net 5 feet x 10 ft $6.00. Barnacle clusters 3"- 5" $1.50. Small to Medium Spotted Turbos $8.40 per doz. LOL...there are a couple of catches though. You either have to fax your first order (which I couldn't do so I called, I just had to email authorization to charge my credit card). The lady on the phone was very nice. Second catch, a minimum order is $50 dollars.

Needles to say my new addiction is becoming costly. I will report back when my shipment comes.

Wow! Good luck with the shipment, that is a lot of shells! (And yeah , once you get addicted to finding things for your crabbies, it can become a money pit :))

If the shells come and they are what I expect them to be, I will let everyone know. Maybe we can do a local shell swap kinda thing or I could reship.

I'm curious to see how much my shipping costs are going to be

Actually, there is a forum with an up and running shell box, it's a box full of shells, and they have a mailing list, and so they mail this box to someone on the list, that person trades some of their shells for whats in the box, and then ships it on to the next person. It's really cool!

So you didn't pay for shipping when you paid for the shells? I've never ordered something online where you paid for the item and then the shipping. Hopefully your shipping costs won't be too high!

Since it's bulk, the shipping is by weight....We'll see....

They don't tell you if something is out of stock before they ship. They'll charge your card for everything they do have and will send it off without contacting you first, even if the shipping costs more then the order...
