Introducing my crabs

Post by Lilmissbuffit » Sun Nov 30, 2014 4:57 pm

Hi I am new to the site , but not exactly new to hermit crabs :)
I don't have photos of them all we just upgraded from 60g to a 190 so my tank looks quite empty but as all good things in life are it is a work in progress .

I hope you enjoy the photos ,
I will post a few at a time as my PC panics when i give it to much work to do . :)

the home , I had to take the photo from the other side of the room as its to big to fit in lol , the other pics show more detail .

so far I have almost 600lbs of sand and just over 6 bricks of ee , and several bags of moss and oyster shells

this is midnight one of the violas ,

Vermillion

Ribena - adopted after someone won him at the Kansas state fair , he seems to be a gentle giant
Image
PickE - took him almost a year of shell shpping and sleeping sticking out of his shell before he picked a new one
Image

and this is my crazy boy! Big Red , in the year and a half hes been with me the only time hes not been running around has been when hes been down molting, other than that he is a 24/7 active crab ! and he would seem to like having his photo taken as he seems to pose when the camera comes out ,
(i don't normally hold any of them this photo was taken as i was moving him to his new tank , )

Just looking at the crabitat gets me into a "Margaritaville" mood -- flop into a lounge chair on that lovely beach, adult beverage in hand, ready to soak up some rays :glasses2: !

All the crabs are simply beautiful, so colorful and healthy, but I think my favorite is the newly rechristened Oliver Twist.
PPs are Big Enzo, Charles Paris and Mr Pinch
On the Big Beach in the Sky: Murray, Gino, Oscar, Gordon, Ignatz, Harry and King Felix the Pale
Also Mom to Imogene the Syrian Hamster
