Lately I've been forgetting to take the trash out to the road, until i'm laying in bed and about to go to sleep... so suddenly i have to run out in light clothes and no shoes into the due covered grass at 12 at night. If you want to truly know the desire for a warm bed just do that, you may run faster than you ever have  though I guess its not as bad because i'm in Florida so it hasn't dropped under the 40s (F°) but a few times this fall.

Today I was doing a spot clean and when I was going to upright one of the plants, I saw all five of them "hidden" under the plant, in a big partially buried clump. So much for them all being molting. When I found them, Boomer, the little guy at the top of the pile gave me his best "I've got a claw for a reason, and you're about to find out what it is" stare. Maybe if I give him an agave drizzled banana slice he will forgive me... I'm too young to die!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

This morning I found the most adorable thing! I went to my crabitat when I woke up to mist it, to bump up the humidity. When I took off the top, I found my two crabs, Sebastian and Ollie on this platform I built them, with the front of their shells both side by side. I believe they were sleeping, because they already were in their shells before I took the top off. I have found them before on this plat form both standing next to each other probably gossiping about me, but to find them sleeping next to each other! I love that my hermit crabs have become good friends! After I mist the tank, Sebastian came out of her shell just enough to look at me like, "Leave us alone human, we are snuggling!" Give us our privacy!" Anyway, I just wanted to share my adorable experience with you guys! Here are some pictures!

Love the story, parker_roo! I'm always delighted when I find that my crabs (or mice) have formed special friendships within their colonies. It's great that they can all live together amicably but very touching when they have a particular "pal" :D .
PPs are Big Enzo, Charles Paris and Mr Pinch
On the Big Beach in the Sky: Murray, Gino, Oscar, Gordon, Ignatz, Harry and King Felix the Pale

Awe! That's ADORABLE! I have two new PPs who seem to be good friends as well. They love sitting on the bark and munching and conversing. But, in other news, Draco is up and he's SO PRETTY. He's a jumbo now, I think. I'm not totally sure, he just came up today, so I don't wanna bug him too much. His color is incredible though! I'm so happy to see him!!!

I completely agree Crabinski. Those special bonds are always so precious. Parker_roo, I still LOVE that platform! I feel like I need to collect some sticks so I can build one

So since two of my crabs have been down molting for a while i had been ignoring the tank and went in to move things around and spruce up the first inch of substrate. And then i found these!

Haha i dont know if my two Es who are up are just digging around or if they went down for a molt but there are like 5 holes, So now the tank feels so empty because everyone decided to dig.

I caught Buzz (less shy E who hitched a ride home) swimming in the SW pool then cruising around the edge. He also went later to the FW pool.

Bullseye (super shy E I only catch topside once a week) is at the very bottom of the tank, below the SW pool, just hanging out near his window. He's moving so he's alive but he's been in that location for 24 hours now. Surely he isn't contemplating another molt?

I just took this one. ImageThis is Hera. She is one of my large (possibly extra large) females. She typically hangs out underground. Lately she has been spending more and more time up but only at night. I saw 14 of the 27 - now 26 when I was doing tank rearranging today and she was not so happy with me. I am super happy that she hasn't dug back down but I bet she will. I love seeing her up. The lights aren't showing her colors so well but she is almost glow in the dark purple when not right under the lights.

Thanks! I am tempted to sneak back downstairs to the tank to peek in again.

She is beautiful! I love those deep dark purples! I have two PPs that are rich and dark like that. I ink hey are just so pretty!
Also I again keep finding crabs in the pool. I swear they knew if I didn't start seeing them in there that I would give them smaller containers. Well it looks like the bigger ones are staying for a while. I just need to find a better set up to make it easier to take them in/ out for cleaning and refreshing.

That's a great color! I always see my dark PPs and think how nice their deep color is- and then my violas come over and I'm like - now that's deep!
