Love your crab names. I names a bunch of mine after LOTR as well. Ahahaha.
Real brilliant set up you have there, very nice!

Has anyone verified, if plants and flowers from the dollar store is safe in a crabitat? If I do get my upgrade for my birthday, it would be SO much easier on me if I could pick up a bunch from there...

I pore boiled dechlorinated over top of them in the sink. They should be fine. A lot of crabbers on HCA have mentioned using them so I think you're good.

Mine also has the river pebbles/rocks right now that are great. I also get a lot of my little baskets and things from there. Sometimes sardines - which my crabbies absolutely go nuts for. I sometimes get zipties. Occasionally jute, nylon twine, ect.

Yep. As long as they don't have fragrance or glitter or anything like that, they're safe. I just give them a quick wash in hot water before placing them into the tank.

So Aragon's name is completely inappropriate...lol. He is the same size as Gimli and he is just a fake posturer. He will puff up to the little ones to try to keep them out of the hide that he is in and if they insist on coming in, he backs down and walks away.
