Hello! New (for the second time) crabber!

Post by ashleyandanimals » Wed Jan 21, 2015 10:56 pm

Greetings!

I am new, well relatively new, to crabbing. I had hermits for a few years when I was younger, but being that I was around 11, I didn't have the resources to care for them properly. I researched diligently hermit-crabs.com, switched to sand from gravel, housed them in a ten gallon, did my best to feed correctly, but I was unable to see them thrive. I became disheartened by their deaths and eventually gave my remaining crabs to a teacher.

Now, at (almost) 24, I am more knowledgable and am able to procure the resources necessary to have my crabs be healthy. I currently have 5 PP's, 2 tiny/small in an ISO, and a Medium, small/medicum, and tiny/small in my ten gallon. Tomorrow I am going to buy a 40 gallon breeder thank, but it will be a while before I will be able to get all the accessories I will need to get it up and running. I'm very excited to get this project going!

I do my best to spoil all of my pets! :)

Yay! :) Welcome to the Hermit Crab Association, let us know if you need help with anything. Glad you were wise and gave your remaining crabs to your teacher, clearly you were smart enough to know they could be better off, you have good judgment
